I am 40 and have had PVCs on and off for most of my life, however, I didn't know what they were until four months ago when they really got bad. I went to ER and they informed me as to what was going on and sent me home. I have been told to see a cardiologist to make sure that I don't have underlying heart disease, but since they have been happening at various levels for decades I feel like I'm OK. I hate seeing doctors as they just want to put you on a bunch of prescriptions. I have PCOS, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis and have had two back surgeries. I am currently in pain management. When I started experiencing the super bad PVCs I was taking methadone (for pain - 10mg a day) and I stated drinking some energy drinks as I was coming off a winter slump (we had a horrible winter) and wanted to do some yard work. After two days of pain pills and energy drinks I woke up having PVCs and six months later they have not stopped. My doctor took me off methadone as they said this could be causing them (they did this even though I told them that I have had PVCs most of my life...they didn't listen). Stopping the pain meds and caffeine has not worked, in fact, I went through two months of withdrawal from the methadone as I was cut off cold turkey and they got worse. I could not sleep for three weeks. After researching I feel that they are caused by nutrient deficiencies and inflammation. I am currently taking magnesium, soaking in Epsom salts, taking lugols iodine, and in the past week started taking organic sulfur crystals. With each supplement I have added the PVCs have lessened. I still have bad days but now there are days when I don't have them at all. I can the most improvement from the organic sulfur crystals as they help to reduce inflammation.
