Event Date: Jan 01 2013 Event Type: First Experience Wellbeing: 6/10 PVCs Level: 8/10 More info

My pvc's started about 3 months ago. I went to the ER the first time and was told nothing was wrong, I wasn't having a heart attack and to follow up with my GP which i did. My Gp did some blood work, did an EKG, and put me on 50mg of Atenelol twice a day. He told me it was probably attributed to stress as I started having panic attacks about 4 years ago and am now taking xanax for that. My PVC's continued and i asked to be referred to a cardiologist, which he did. My Cardiologist put me on a 30 day halter monitor, did a nuclear stress test, blood work, and also did an echocardiogram. Everything came back great, she said my heart looked beautiful other than the PVC's. She said they were probably from stress and that they were not dangerous to me. She switched me to toprol which made me feel pretty bad and made my blood pressure go up a little, so she switched me back to the Atenolol. They actually went away and i was feeling great for about 3 weeks then about a week ago they started back up. They are driving me crazy, i'm having trouble sleeping at night and i'm a nervous wreck all the time. I'm also taking more of the Xanax than i used to because i'm so nervous and it seems to help me with the pvc's. I just find it hard to believe that these are harmless.
