Detail:
I began experiencing tachycardia even at rest (didn't know that word at the time). It would begin and end suddenly. It was familiar in that I had it before with panic attacks and anxiety only now it appeared to come along all on its own with no other symptoms and out of nowhere. Im sure there was underlying anxiety over the events of the last part of the year prior but it still felt alarming. I went to my GP and he gave me low dose inderal, 10mg to take as needed when the tachycardia hit. He also gave me prilosec for heart burn that he said may be associated with the tachycardia and advised I continue to take xanax as needed since the tachycardia also seemed to occur from being easily startled (as in when a door opens or my phone rings). I was leary of the prilosec since I had taken it before in 2010 and while on it that was the only time I had ever felt a PVC and they stopped when I stopped the prilosec. I only had maybe 10 PVC's over a 2 week period at that time and disregarded them to reflux, had no idea it was my heart.
