Jd6019User Since: Jul 2018Posts: 2I agree with your regimen in general but wonder if a simpler approach would work. I know everyone is different though. Im 49 and have had PCs for 2 years. Taking Ngo Bystolic, Lipitor, klonopin, and testosterone. Hospitalized twice last year for low potassium and arrhythmia. I still aused low potassium but suspect PPI. I stopped all PPI and H2 blockers inJanuary 2018. Rebound reflux was rough to get through but I did and now find I don’t really have gerd issues . Last couple weeks have had high frequency of pvcs. Like 8000 a day ballpark. I started CoQ10 3 days ago and pvcs are almost gone I might feel one or two ALL day! I have a cardiologist appt next week and will see what she thinks. Just wanted to share because I think CoQ10 has fixed me. If you are on a statin that can lower CoQ10 please try it. It will either be a miracle or another learning about your specific needs. I also take A, C,E,Selinium, zinc daily.

I drexleman I need a little advice if your still got a second.

How much magniesum malate did you take, I started out with 2 in the mourning and 2 in the evening. Then took 3 in the mourning now. Thinking maybe just 2 in the mourning 2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening or 3, 3 ,3. It seems the magnesium malate (source Naturals) is the only thing that has been able to calm mine down so far. I started doing Taurine 3 grams x3 a day but have had mixed results with this.

I also do 1x NatureWise Vitamin D3 2,000 IU in the mourning
Pure Synergy Multi VitaMin 1x in the mourning

The onyl Days ive seen where I had a pvc free day was where I ate a bunch of potatoes and steak to begin the day. I am thinking I am either low in potassium or Iron. Because are the only two things that make sense at this point. I know my multivitamin doesnt have iron at all in it. I also have tried arginine a few times with little or no change.

DrexelmanUser Since: Jun 2018Posts: 15A little update before I answer your question. My PVCS/PACS came back and it was a sudden shock at first but by day three they were increasing and I didnt realize what changed as I take my supplements regularly. Anyway I started to process all the available info on my supplements and decided to contact each company where I get my supplements. Called Kirkland which is Costco brand, NOW, Nature Made. All three have very high standards and also are third party verified for potency and purity and I had no answer why my PVCS/PACS came back except for magnesium brand which I switched a couple of times. I switched 3 months ago to tablets because capsules get quickly absorbed. So I started using Source Naturals which didn't seem to be effective at first but after increasing dosage to around 2000mg I noticed it gave me better relief of stress, muscle cramps etc. Then I noticed that it wears of after 3-4 hours so I started increasing dosages to 5 times a day and still didn't work as well. After reading the reviews on amazon and contacting the company I realized that there's a lot of unanswered questions as to purity and potency of elemental magnesium. Source Naturals isn't verified or held by any standards by anyone so they wouldn't give me any definite answers. In other words, some companies will import Chinese ingredients and water down the supplements to save costs as most consumers will never know or feel the difference. I looked closer at this from the folks who know best about magnesium effectiveness over at the affibers.org forum (these people have afib and depend on magnesium daily in large dosages) and they all strictly reccomend using the albion labs TRAACS magnesium since it involves the highest standards of testing and ensures the chelation of the magnesium which is highly absorbable. So I went on Amazon and bought some Jigsaw Magnesium SRT which has the Albion/TRAACS label on it. Damn was I surprised by how well these worked. Within an hour I couldn't feel any palpitations, all gone and now it makes me wonder how little of magnesium I actually was absorbing from all the previous magnesium pills which were watered down with less elemental magnesium giving me stomach issues.

Bfrocks,

Hope you're doing well, take it easy with Vitamin D as it raises your calcium levels and that will deplete or offset your magnesium intake, it happened to me while back which is why I prefer natural sunlight. I never take more than 1000IU a day in a multivitamin. For Vitamin D3 to be absorbed properly you need Magnesium and if you're trying to minimize palpitation then you don't need to waste it on Vitamin D. So think about your issue here, you are taking at least 2000IU plus I assume another 500Iu in the multivitamin and then you take only around 1000mg of magnesium malate which isn't in the elemental form and that of course is low considering the fact that you're already low on magnesium to begin with. If you can afford switch to any Albion/TRAACS label magnesium and take at least 1500-2000mg elemental. If you decide to try my brand that would be 12-16 tablets divided into 3-4 doses. Source Naturals is OK at best, the potency is just not there honestly. Magnesium will only work if you take the correct brand and dosage. I used to take 2000mg and even more on same days of Source Naturals and barely could feel any results, same with Triple Calm capsules. After I started using the Jigsaw 3 times a day of 500mg elemental (4 pills equals to 500mg elemental magnesium) the difference is startling, I feel so relaxed and zero PVCS/PACS, but in your case it might take more time so give it a few days. Also, don't be afraid to increase dosage if you have a lot of PVCS/PACS, people take 3-4 grams daily and its safe as long as you have healthy kidneys, which basically excrete the extra magnesium just like B Complex vitamins. No one has ever overdosed with healthy kidneys. If you want to try the ones I'm using see link below.

I am doing a lot better since adding in 8-10 grams of taurine a day. Also I am drinking a glass of low sodium V8 at bedtime and 5 magnesium malate each day. Yeah I did learn about too much vitamin d I get no more then 5000iu, 2000 in my vitamin and 2000 or so in my multivitamin i take. I was taking multi twice a day and it kept giving me some extra skips. I need to take at least this much as I work overnights and need the vitamin D. So far no more issues with this adjustment has completely changed things for me. Hoping to keep plugging away at this insane diet.

I dont see why you need that much magnesium plus AFIb is completely different in so many ways but similar if that sounds wierd. I have had no issues with source naturals magnesium malate other then extra gas. If things dont keep working out I can switch over to the jigsaw magnesium but the potassium and taurine has really made things a night and day difference for me.

Only thing I would ask have you tried going without fish oil I have seen many people mention they get more and worse results with fish oil.

It sucks you think you get hold of these things, but it appears as long as you can play with vitamins and get a hold of things you can normalize them out. Look at Schaw 30 of them a mijnute briefly came back now there normal again. Hopping to be off betas in 1-2 months.

DrexelmanUser Since: Jun 2018Posts: 15Magnesium is poorly absorbed compared to all other vitamins and even the healthiest diet will make it difficult which is why you have indigestion from Source Naturals. The magnesium brand matters but if yours are working for you then why change it. I know my magnesium levels were low and it takes a year to replete it. I had an issue with too much Vitamin D and that caused a spike in calcium which was tied to increase in PVCS. Now all gone thanks to Jigsaw magnesium and low Vitamin D. Taurine is one of the best supplements you can take for heart health, many papers written on it. Glad your diet is woking.

See research on taurine and arginine also why I use a lot of magnesium, link below.
