SchwahUser Since: May 2018Posts: 17PVC's have been a daily source of anxiety, depression and frustration for about two years, and now they appear to be nearly gone thanks to the information I found on this site. Thanks so much!

The PVC's started during a series of panic attacks. After completing tests to rule out more serious cardiac issues my PCP and cardiologist gave me some Xanax (just for the PA's) and told me the PVC's were nothing to worry about. Of course that's easier said than done, and I'm usually half convinced that an undiagnosed heart issue is going to kill me at any moment.

I get PVC's all day long but they're significantly worse when I'm "relaxed", reclining or in bed. I can get 20-30+ per minute during the worst episodes. Getting to sleep and staying asleep is always a struggle, and admittedly I go through periods of heavy drinking at night just so I can fall asleep without the struggle. Bad news all around.

My wife caused a near panic attack several days ago when I mentioned my PVC's and she expressed concern that they're caused by a more serious underlying heart issue. That's my constant fear too, but it's always worse when someone else vocalizes it! So of course I jumped on the internet to research all of the things that might be killing me, lol. Usually that just makes things worse, but this time I ran across the CurePVCs website and saw that many of your were experiencing success with over the counter solutions. I picked up some sublingual B-12 that same day and placed an Amazon order for taurine, arginine and magnesium.

The very same day I first used the B-12 I experienced some positive changes. Usually my PVC's are like a pounding that I can both feel and hear, but that night they felt softer and quieter if that makes sense. I didn't want to get my hopes up so I attributed the change to a potential placebo effect. The rest of the supps arrived yesterday and last night was ever better. I experienced three PVC's before falling asleep... THREE! I've been up for three hours this morning and I've only had one! That's unbelievable!

So this begs the question: Why didn't my PCP or cardiologist tell me about this possibility?!!

I'll keep this thread updated with my experiences. I know 48 hours isn't the same as lasting change, and I'd like to be realistic about this rather than get my hopes up. That being said, this does seem pretty amazing. I've also been dealing with exercise induced tachycardia for the past 8 years and I'll be interested to see if I experiences any changes there. Either way my thanks to you all for the info! And here I was about to talk with my PCP about daily anxiety meds, beta blockers, surgical options, etc.

I found very hard to get potassium or close to the recommended daily value of 3500. I make sure i get two bananas in every day one in the mourning and one and the evening.

SchwahUser Since: May 2018Posts: 17@bfrocks30 - Indeed, I take Slo-Mag and usually have a banana in the morning. In addition to the Slow-Mag, B12, Taurine and Arginine I'm also taking vitamin D, fish oil, Coq10 and a general multivitamin each morning.

Update: After 2 full days without any noticeable PVC's I ended up getting some relatively frequent and strong PVC's again for about 3-4 hours yesterday evening. This was after trying to limit my taurine to 1g in the morning and 1g at dinner. Suspecting that I didn't get enough taurine I took 2g of taurine and 1g of argenine and the PVC's stopped again after about 2 hours.

SchwahUser Since: May 2018Posts: 17Update: I had another recurrence of PVC's last night around the same time as the previous night, ~5:00pm. They were frequent and strong, but they were essentially gone by the time I went to bed at 9:00pm which was a huge relief. I haven't had any PVC's today and it's about 7:15pm as I write this. Fingers crossed.

I started a log to keep track of my PVC's, supplements and exercise. I already track all my food with MyFitnessPal so that's covered. I'm hoping that I can nail down a diet, exercise and supplements regimen that will keep me PVC free, but it's already such a relief not to experience them 24/7. My quality of life has improved tremendously in one week.

SchwahUser Since: May 2018Posts: 17I’m still maintaining a detailed log as a means to get these PVC’s under control. I’m including all foods, beverages, exercises, supplements, caffeine, stress events, PVC and tachycardia episodes/frequency, and the associated timing for all those categories. I have a full week logged which isn’t enough time to come to any conclusions, but I did notice one interesting thing.

I’m on my 2nd week of a regimen where I eat at or above my maintenance calories 5 days per week and fast for two non-consecutive days (as in near zero cals for ~36 hours twice per week). I’m not doing it specifically to curb incidence of PVC’s but I have heard reports that it can help. Anyway, I was looking over my log today and noticed that the only two days I didn’t experience ANY noticeable PVC’s were my two fasting days. Not conclusive by any means, but interesting none-the-less. I have another fast day coming up tomorrow so we’ll see how it works out. On my fast days I still take my supplements, drink plenty of fluids, have a cup of coffee of two, and drink lots of decaf herbal tea.

Aside from the two fasting days my PVC experience has been all over the place this week, with yesterday being the worst day since starting this supp regimen. I experienced light/infrequent PVC's increasing to heavy/frequent between 1pm and 9pm. By 10:00 they were gone. That's better than before, but worse than the new normal. Its been a much better today for whatever reason.

SchwahUser Since: May 2018Posts: 17Hi Sienna, thanks for the reply.

I'm pleased to report that everything is going MUCH better, though I'd be hard pressed to tell you exactly why.

I maintained my detailed "everything" log for another week following my previous forum post and couldn't nail down any patterns. My PVC's continued to range from mild to severe and they didn't correlate with any particular foods, exercises, times of day, supplements, etc. I decided to stop maintaining the log because my PVC's were getting worse and I wondered if all my fussing was resulting in additional stress that may be exacerbating my PVC's.

Between then and now (~two weeks) my PVC's have all but vanished, or at least I no longer notice them. I can't nail down any single factor that's made the difference but here's what I've changed.

1. I stopped the log and the meticulous focus on every PVC (as much as possible anyway).

2. I started using cannabis again about two weeks ago (edibles or vaporizing, no smoking), mostly in the late evenings for relaxation and as a sleep aid. This was a huge help when PVC’s were still intense, not that I’m advocating cannabis use of course, as I'm sure it could make PVC's worse in some individuals.

3. I discovered that I was under-supplementing on B-12 by taking 1 drop instead of one full dropper of the sub-lingual supplement. Oops. Back on the proper dosage now. I was already getting some B-12 in a daily multi as well.

4. Between March and June and I’ve lost a little over 20lb. I’m sure that hasn’t hurt. I hope to lose 40 more before the end of the year.

5. My wife and I got in the bad habit of eating sliced deli turkey in sandwiches or wraps for lunch almost daily. About three weeks ago I started roasting a turkey breast once per week instead. Our diet is otherwise already very clean with plenty of fresh fruit, veggies, nuts, whole grains, chicken breast, etc.

Those are the only changes I’ve been able to think of that may have made a difference, though to be honest I haven’t been giving it much thought. Or to be more accurate, I’m trying NOT to give it much thought. PVC’s suck and I’m just trying to enjoy the time I have without them in case it’s another brief respite.

SchwahUser Since: May 2018Posts: 17Small Update:

Yesterday evening I experienced some moderate and semi-frequent PVC’s for the first time in a couple weeks. Then it occurred to me that in the midst of some chaos in my life I inadvertently skipped two days of supplements. Oops!

I took all my supps as soon as I thought of it, and I took them on schedule this morning. PVC’s are already gone again.

I know some people struggle with the details so I’ll provide a list of exactly what I’m supplementing with every morning. This isn’t THE list or anything, it’s just what’s working for me right now. I couldn’t even say for sure whether this list is a healthy or sustainable for the long term, but I plan to continue until I have a physical next month. I’ll bring the full list to my doc and see what he has to say.

1. Rhythm Triple Calm Mag (taurate, glycinate, malate) – 2 capsules
2. NOW Taurine 1000mg – 1 capsule
3. NOW Arginine 1000mg – 1 capsule
4. NOW Kelp – 325mg – 1 capsule
5. NOW CoQ10 – 400mg – 1 capsule
6. NOW Ultra Omega 3 – 1 capsule
7. Nature Made B-Complex – 1 capsule
8. Nature Made Multi – 1 capsule
9. Finest Nutrition B-12 liquid – 5000mcg – 1ml
10. Vitamin D – 5000iu – 1 capsule

I think that’s it, but that’s enough right? lol. Still, totally worth it to have a PVC free days. Feels too good to be true.

SiennaUser Since: May 2018Posts: 24Hi Schwah
I feel great when you answered,i do quite the same supplements list as you do,i couldnt say if there is an improvement or not just yet.
My PVC S have vrem triggerd (i think)by years of laxatives as i didnt no how to cope with my digestive system better. Also preling bloated and feeling sick pa lot disturbed my electrolytes balance, even if is not shown on the blood tests.
I am going to do those supplements ever day for at last one year to are if i can achive improvements.
Being a femele, before and during my monthly cycle is awful i do not know if hormones make them so bad.
Also alcohol trigger the big time, but i dont usually drink so it is ok.
How long roughly have you been taking these supplements?
It would be great to get from Winenut about his progress.
Maybe you have bee searching more then me,did you ever came across wiyh a mayter of time to put magnesium and potassium back on track?
Thank you!
