miss spice bombUser Since: Jun 2013Posts: 47Has anyone ever been given beta blockers by their doctor for pvc's??
I had enough the other day and took myself off to see my GP, well anyway he gave me some propranolol 10mg to take if I got pvc's really bad again, its just that my resting heart rate is only 50 bpm...surely beta blockers would make it less than this!!
I told him about my low heart rate and he checked it and it was 60bpm..however when I'm at home relaxing it gets down to 50bpm..
But he still gave me these to take?? I'm not up for taking something that could possibly make me worse!!
I feel quite confused!!!

I previously looked into beta blockers, but on reading all the side-effects, decided it wasn't worth the compromise. But this does of course depend on your personal situation and if the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.

Sorry I can't offer any further advice, but hopefully someone else here can give you some info from a personal experience.
