jmmatthewsUser Since: Aug 2013Posts: 4Hi,

My name is John, I'm a 32 year old guy that used to love working out and running all the time and I've been suffering from PVC's since October of 2011. When it first started I was scared out of my mind not knowing what was going on, I couldn't focus on work, my relationship, or anything else for that matter due to the fact that I was having thousands a day..AND FELT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! I even quit going to the gym thinking I was going to have a heart attack if I ran or lifted weights. Well, as a result I ended up losing my job and a girlfriend not to mention everyone thought I was out of my mind crazy telling me..."Oh it's all in your head." or "It's just anxiety." No one (except maybe a few senior citizens) knew what I was even talking about and it was driving me up the wall so in February of 2012 I finally decided to go to my dad's internal medicine doctor and he gave me an EKG ,a 24 hour holter monitor (which he saw about 1,000 on), and a blood work up that came back normal and he perscribed me Toprol XL and I'm not one for taking medication and all about natural cures(Oh, I'm a pescetarian btw) so I decided to tackle the problem myself. I've tried just about everything out there...Magnesium,Potassium,Apple Cider Vinegar, CoQ10,Fish Oil,Taurine,L-Arginine,stopped drinking coffee,ct my alcohol consumption down to like 2-3 beers once a week, stopped eating sugar\ chocolate etc...EVERYTHING!!!! AND NOTHING IS WORKING!!! (My father, grandfather, mom, and brother have them to...not sure if they have/have had them as worse as I do.)

So, here it is July,2013 and I'm having a lot of all day, everyday...24/7. There are times that if I lay on my stomach I have a pvc every other beat until I get up and move to another position...the same thing goes for when I lay on my back (not all the time but sometimes.)..The weird thing is, is that they seem positional and I can even make them happen by breathing in heavy, swallowing, or bending a certain way, after eating they are also bad if I don't get enough sleep and like everyone else, being scared or nervous makes them worse...not a day/hour/ or minute goes by without me having them...they are constant. I don't have any fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain and have since started back running and lifting heavy weights again, traveling all over flying etc... because I said screw it, obviously it ain't gonna kill me and I'm not gonna let it ruin my life and the nervousness and fear of these demon palpitations has since subsided...I mean sometimes I worry but it doesn't cause me panic attacks or anxiety in a weird way, they've become part of normal everyday life now and I don't think twice about them when I feel them... so mentally I'm in a good place and have accepted the fact that I have them and they're not going anywhere soon.

But the thing I'm here for now, is to see if anyone has had any success with any kind of natural supplement, or had a procedure that knocked the crap out of these things...I'm not taking any medication EVER as crazy as that sounds I'm a firm believer that it doesn't cure anything, it just masks it so keep all the rhetoric about Metoprolol, Atenolol, Flecainide,Propafenone to yourself cause I'm not going to take it...I'd rather just live with them. So if anyone has any advice or anything that they think can help don't hesitate to sling it my way.

Cubsfan3User Since: Apr 2013Posts: 28A few weeks ago I was doing some PVC research and came across a guy who posted a few videos to youtube. He claims to have cured his PVC's (thousands per day) by eliminating MSG from his diet. MSG can be found in a bunch of different foods under different names. Just do a google search for "MSG under different names". Anyway here is the link to one of the videos:

jmmatthewsUser Since: Aug 2013Posts: 4Yeah...I saw that as well. No matter what I've tried, it doesn't seen to help which leads me to believe that is something structurally wrong with my heart so no matter what I take or drink etc is going to help.

Cubsfan3User Since: Apr 2013Posts: 28I thought the same thing. I ended up in the ER a week ago becuase my PVC's were the worst they have ever been. EKG and blood all came back fine. I go for an echo on Saturday that I know will be fine as well. I cannot seem to figure these things out. I had a pretty good run of them this morning and all of a sudden they went away. Last night I ate a few grapes and had a bunch for the next hour. It is definitely frustrating.

jmmatthewsUser Since: Aug 2013Posts: 4Eh...I don't bother with the ER, it doesn't scare me enough to go..I really don't care anymore or am I gonna let them control my life any longer...if it kills me, it kills me...all i know is that the last two years it hasn't killed me and I can still exercise and just eff it, they just annoy the crap out of me and I wish they would just go away like they started...Out of the blue. Anyways, I 'm gonna go get a beer. lol ttyl.

Nicole Edwards OlsenUser Since: Aug 2013Posts: 2I hear you! I've been to the ER, had the whole heart work up. Nothing. Nada. It's like a joke with my family Dr. They said possibly Beta Blockers might subdue them but that's it. I did find something very interesting in my particular case. I read the book Wheat Belly, which in itself is an interesting book. I gave up grains and most carbs and within a few days my PVC's diminished greatly. Well this weekend and tonight I had some pasta, and they are back like a vengeance tonight. So maybe there's a connection or maybe not, these *******s have fooled me before.

miss spice bombUser Since: Jun 2013Posts: 47I've had pvc's for over 10 yrs!! But in the last 5 months they are constant,at least 1 or 2 per minute! I even get the bigeminy rhythm sometimes!!
I've had an echo done and just had my heart monitor taken off this morning!!
I've tried caffeine, alcohol, chocolate, but nothing seems to work!!
But the one thing I do know is that I get tons of gas and every time I get a PVC I feel the urge to belch or I feel bubbles coming up into my oesophagus, I do feel that the digestive system and the vagus nerve has a lot to do with these annoying pvc's!!
So what I'm trying to say is that the quieter my stomach the quieter the pvc's!! Which is not that often as I'm always quite gassy even when I've not eaten!!
Maybe there is a link??
