I have random pvc's for over 15 years usually from exertion, bending over too quickly(crunching), and would get runs of them usually after a good night of drinking. Currently, I am experiencing my 1st PVC storm and I am on my 8th day. My storm is lighter than so many other palpateers. Storm meaning pvc's all day everyday. Most of the time pvc's every 15 to 30 minutes and at its worse ever 2 to 5 minutes for hours on end. Going to bed with and waking up with them. I was taking magnesium oxide but it was like a band aid. From a frequent pvc flyer today I was recommended slow mag. It is 10 bucks for 60 pills but it is easily absorbed by the body and slowly released. Today has been my best day finally getting over 2 hours with no pvc's. Here's what I have learned in these 8 days of trial and error. #1 During bad pvc runs or storms stay far away from sodium as far as you can. Yesterday I was feeling pretty good mild pvcs here and there. I was starving so I had a cheeseburger melt with chips. Not 15 minutes later, the pvc runs began every 3-5 minutes and non stop for 2.5 hours. They were hard thumpers and some of them were doubles. #2 Small meals, I can't stress this enough. If your heart is agitated with pvcs and then you eat til you're full; your diaphragm/stomach puts extra pressure on your heart then boom more runs. #3 I eat a probiotic yogurt a day to promote digestion of food. Digestion puts more strain on the heart due to the demand of the digestive system. #4 Eat celery, carrots, vegetables, fruits, chicken(no salt), and salad. Stay away from processed foods. #5 The past 2 days I have drank nothing but water and v8 fusion light cut with water. #6 Of course the obvious, no caffeine, drugs, or alcohol.
#7 I only take a multi vitamin and slow mag the past 2 days. Anxiety and panic comes with the territory of pvc's. Anxiety eats up magnesium. I take one slow mag in the morning and one before dinner. Some people take more. #8 If you have been cleared by your cardiologist not your pcp, 30 minutes of brisk walking. Get off your butt and just do it.

Cleared by your cardiologist means ekg, holter monitor, blood work, and a stress echo test. Don't let them just tell you have PVC's from you just telling them your symptoms. Demand the tests if have the insurance or can afford it. It's your life not theirs. My echo stress test was excellent as was all my ekg's and blood work. 2 days ago I had an ekg and exam. My bp was 112/64 and physical exam perfect. They gave me a holter because they have not caught them on an ekg yet.
My doctor gave me a beta blocker Toprol xl 25mg and told me to exercise without even seeing the results of the holter monitor. I decided that it was my perfectly healthy heart that he wanted me to medicate. I refused until he seen the results and even then I will try every natural way before contaminating my heart.

I know everyone's pvcs are different. This is my personal experience. Take from it what you like. From the expression, "You only get one life, what are you going to do with it?"
