miss spice bombUser Since: Jun 2013Posts: 47Please can someone help me!?! I'm 33 yrs old and I've been having pvc's for over ten yrs! They would be the occasional thump in my chest and I felt like I could manage with them pretty well! But in the last few months I've been having episodes of pvc's that come every second or third beat, last for over 4 hours and feel like flutters and not the thump that I'm used to! I've had blood work done, had an echo, they came back as normal, also had a 24 hour monitor fitted but the hospital lost my results so I've got to be revered back which my GP is reluctant to do!! I don't smoke, drink alcohol or caffeine so wonder why this is happening!! 4 weeks ago I went into A&E do to an episode and they caught them on ECG! The doctor told me they were nothing to worry about, but that's easier said than done! I too also take a magnesium supplement but it front seem to make them any better! Does anyone know how to cope with these episodes?? I'm at my wits end and don't want my 14 month old boy to see me in a panic!! What does everyone do when they get these awful ectopics ??

Hi miss spice bomb,

My usual question to Ectopic sufferers is: Do you suffer from heartburn and digestive issues? Because I found my heartburn was because my stomach wasn't producing enough acid while producing loads of bile (the bile being the real cause of my heartburn). As a result of minimal acid, I found I wasn't absorbing electrolytes very well, so you might find that there's a connection between poorly absorbed electrolytes such as mag oxide and poor digestion.

I can't really recommend on other types of magnesium because I never really tried many, but hopefully someone else here has more experience with magnesium supplements.

miss spice bombUser Since: Jun 2013Posts: 47Thank you for replying!! Yes I do have a lot of gas! But I don't get heartburn! After meals I do notice on some occasions my pvc's can become worse! Especially if I have acid reflux!! Just don't get the burning sensation in my chest! I've had my magnesium levels checked and they were OK,but I still take supplements, I've heard of a supplement called Q10 I'm not quite sure if that would help?? I suppose I'm not quite sure what dosage I should be taking either! My GP isn't to good at giving any advice..lol. just a question to you...what do you do if you get a bad episode?? How do you stay calm because I seem to get quite Anxious and I'm sure that makes it worse!! My GP told me to ignore them but its kinda hard when its happening every three beats!! I'm glad I found this site as its nice to know your not alone!!
