twalsh29User Since: Sep 2012Posts: 3Hello everyone. I have been suffering from PVCs for 12 years now, I guess. I started having them at 23, and now I am 35. For about 6 or 7 years though, I did not have much trouble with them except when I laid in certain positions. Recently they have flared up to be so annoying that they sent me to the emergency room, and I got the same story as everyone else. "They are benign, so stop wasting my time".

My recent medical history is as such. Between 2 and 1.5 years ago I was suffering from C Diff infection in my colon. It was terrible. Far worse that any arythmia. I finally was cured of that after about 1.5 years of expesive anti-biotics. Since then I was diagnosed with milk allergy, IBS, and hiatal hernia. There has never been any mention of GERD or heartburn.

So I have been having digestive issues since then, and so after reading some of the posts here, I am a little encouraged. Maybe thats the key. Solve one and get 2 birds with 1 stone. It is just that lately I get the PVCs one after another. Like 1 PVC every 3 to 6 seconds for an hour. My doc only counted 17 in one hour with the holter monitor, and he waved that off as benign, but I wonder if he would say the same seeing them as frequent as they are happening now. How much is too much?

Your situation regarding the digestive system sounds oh so familiar. It seems to be a common link.

As far as the frequency is concerned, I have heard many report thousands of PVCs within 24 hours, and the doctors still called them benign. As with most suffers, being told it's benign doesn't make you feel any better though!!!

I'm glad you are finding other comments here encouraging. I personally believe indigestion is a key player for this ailment.
